Peace of Mind

Who doesn't want peace of mind!

So often we hear people saying that someone "made me" angry or upset. The fact is that it was the mind's automatic thoughts and reactions to the external stimuli that resulted in the emotional response. Mindfulness meditation brings this reaction to the attention of the conscious mind so it can be observed and released.

Mindfulness meditation progressively reveals how we can be sucked unwittingly into ‘over-thinking’. We learn to see our thoughts as mental events that come and go just like sounds. This helps to take a ‘de-centred’ stance to our thoughts and feelings, seeing them come and go in the space of awareness. This enhances clarity of awareness and encourages us to take a different perspective on our busyness and troubles.

Peace of mind comes with practising mindfulness.
