About Liz….
Before becoming a director of Thrive in Nature Ltd, Liz practised as commercial real estate lawyer for 11 years and knows very well the pressures of working in stressful organisations.
She also knew that a career-for-life in law was not for her, and deciding to take a leap of faith, Liz changed track.
From London, she moved to Brighton where over the course of two years, she trained in, and then taught mindfulness to individuals and workplace groups.
Although this new direction was rewarding, Liz still felt something was missing.
And so, for the following four years, she went on a journey of self- investigation, attending numerous personal development retreats and courses in Nepal and India until a chance meeting with a Californian film director introduced her to the practice of forest bathing.
During her Forest Therapy Guide training with ANFT, Liz knew that supporting people to remember their connection with Nature was her calling.
And now, as the in-house Forest Therapy Guide at Avalon Wellbeing, an ANFT Trainer and Mentor of Guides, and a Member of the ANFT European Council, she offers forest bathing walks, nature and meditation retreats and team-building away-days at the Sanctuary at Broughton, Yorkshire.
"The pure magic of forest bathing. Liz is an intuitive and tuned in facilitator who put me back in connection with nature in a 2 hour process. An utterly enriching experience which I can’t wait to do again"
